MARM 2023
CHEMISTRY REFOCUSED
The New York ACS along with its partners at the The Graduate Center of the City University of New York and St. John’s University proudly presented the 2023 Middle Atlantic Regional Meeting on June 9-10, 2023.  This mini-MARM had the theme of 'Chemistry Refocused' and was enjoyed by 393 attendees.  MARM2023 had technical sessions, poster sessions, an exposition, employment programming including a resume review workshop, a graduate study fair, a social media social, a Women's Chemists Committee workshop on Promotion to Full Professor, a 50/60/70-year member luncheon, and an awards banquet.

Chemistry Refocused
The New York ACS along with its partners at the The Graduate Center of the City University of New York and St. John’s University, proudly presented the 2023 Middle Atlantic Regional Meeting on June 9-10, 2023.   393 participants enjoyed technical sessions covering cosmetic, environmental, flavors and fragrance, life science and material science chemistries centered on our theme of  'Chemistry Refocused'.  These symposia at the CUNY Graduate Center were augmented with workshops covering Promotion to Full Professor, Industry Employment and Graduate Studies and celebratory events including a 50-, 60-, 70-year member luncheon and an awards banquet (program can be downloaded here).   A detailed report of the full MARM 2023 meeting can be downloaded here.

Programming for High School Students and Teachers will follow on June 10, 2023 at St. John's University in Queens, NY.  The schedule includes the Regional Chemagination Contest and a workshop on 'Diversifying the Curriculum in the Chemistry Classroom'.     

COVID-19 Policy:  The organizers will comply with all city, state and national regulations with respect to COVID-19 in effect at the time of MARM 2023.  At present, visitors to The CUNY Graduate Center are not required to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19.  See the Building Entry Policy for more detail.  CUNY also does not require face masks to be worn at this time.  At present, visitors to St. John's University are not required to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19.
